1 Which public health core function is principally addressed by the author? Give one or two other examples of how this core function is used in public health.
2 Summarize the main points of each of the five essential characteristics of the article. Indicate whether you agree or disagree with the author’s position and why.

The author provides a full understanding of various functions of law in safeguarding public’s health laws by creating conditions to help individuals lead healthier and safe lives. The countries’ public health duty includes taking measures and steps to provide the necessary services and interventions required to maintain the health of the public.
